HOUSING

Housing can be a hot topic these days. The fact is that we do not have enough housing for the number of residents that need it. It may sound counter-intuitive but by building more housing we will lower the cost of housing. When the supply is plentiful, people can choose their price point instead of builders choosing the price point.

Policies I'd like to introduce include:

• Building more affordable homes

• Creating mixed-use walkable neighborhoods so residents don't have to drive to get necessities

• Continue Ogden housing projects that are planned

• Use blighted and abandoned areas as new development spots
